O SPEM MIRUM
St. Dominic,
You gave a wonderful hope
To those in sorrow
As you lay dying by promising
To aid the brethren after your death!
Father, fulfil your promise
And help us by your prayers.
You are renowned for curing
The bodies of the sick,
Now bring is Christ’s aid
To heal our ailing wills.
Father, fulfil your promise
And help us by your prayers.
Glory be to the father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.
Father, fulfil your promise
And help us by your prayers.
O spem miram quam dedisti mortis hora te flentibus dum post mortem promisisti te profuturum fratribus. Imple, pater, quod dixisti nos tuis juvans precibus. Qui tot signis claruisti in aegrorum corporibus nobis opem ferens Christi aegris medere moribus. Imple, pater, quod dixisti nos tuis juvans precibus.

PRAYER FOR THE APOSTOLIC LIFE
St Dominic, faithful follower of Christ and light of the Church, hear our prayer. Speaking only to God and of God you embodied the message of Salvation, showing fervent commitment to the true Faith and sweet compassion for sinners. By perfectly joining devotion and the apostolic way of life, the joy of soul and the severe path of penitence, you fulfilled God’s will.
St. Dominic, with your guidance we want to learn Divine Truth thoroughly so that we may spread it through our words and deeds. Help us with your powerful intercession, so that one day we might share in the glory that crowns you among the blessed forever and ever. Amen.

Rejoice to the full in the glory that is yours, alleluia, and give thanks to God, alleluia, who called you to his kingdom, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
God of truth, you graciously enlightened your Church by the merits and teaching of Saint Dominic, your confessor and our father. By his prayers grant that the Church may never lack for temporal help, and may grow ever richer in spiritual blessings.
We praise and bless you today because you called our Father Dominic to enrich the church by renewing the apostolic way of life. Disciple of Christ, the very Christ who became poor for our sake, Dominic called the lost and the wandering home by preaching the Good News. He gathered a band of preachers together. Nourished by the light of sacred study they gave themselves without reservation to the proclamation Jesus Christ is Lord.

Dominic's Blessing
May God the Father,
who made us, bless us.
May God the Son send
His healing among us.
May God the Holy Spirit
move within us
And give us eyes to see
with, ears to hear with,
and hands that God's
work might be done.
May we walk and preach
the word of God to all.
May the angel of peace
watch over us and lead
us at last by God's grace
to the Kingdom.
Amen
